Our History
Goshen Church (Goshen Christian Reformed Church) started in 1934 by a small group of immigrants who made a way, raising their children together in the Lord. A lot of our founders had to relocate during the Great Depression. It was a time where jobs were scarce, culture was falling apart, and desperate times were countered, only by bringing gratitude to God. Things didn’t get better right away; our first church building opened on August, 27th 1939 (the very next week, Hitler invaded Poland).
Obviously, a lot has happened over the years, but the same things that drove Goshen Church then, have remained some of the strengths we possess today. We work very hard at building community. When things are tough, this church unites as a family. We love raising godly children with character, together. Our history isn’t perfect, but we've learned a lot, and God has been faithful through it all. We find joy in bringing Him the praise and gratitude He's so worthy of!
