We’ve been talking for weeks about how badly we need to see God’s glory. Moses, Isaiah and more have taught us that we need desperately to look up from our navels and catch sight of how BIG God is. When we do -- if we could start to grasp how powerful, holy, sovereignty -loving – if you could see God, you would be more able to live your life on mission, with a purpose, and foundation and hope for whatever GOD may have for you. Today we’re going to look at a fascinating link between complaints, God’s glory and a way of seeing God’s glory that may surprise you.

God’s Glory in Knowledge (to know God is to see God’s glory)

Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV)

¹⁴ For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

 

God’s knowledge shines to us through JESUS.

2 Corinthians 4:5–6 (NIV)

⁵ For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. ⁶ For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”  made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
