In-Person Services CANCELLED This Sunday (March 15th)

Updated: March 13th 11am

As promised, we have been closely monitoring the spread of Coronavirus, now officially declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization.

// SERVICES CANCELLED

I wanted to let you know that out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel our in-person worship gathering on Sunday, March 15 at Goshen CRC. The health and safety of our congregation is our #1 priority, and this difficult decision was made to protect Goshen families, volunteers, staff, and our broader communities. We have a higher than average amount of both young families and older adults, and we want to be good neighbors as we think about slowing down the spread of the virus in our communities.

As of today, there are no known cases of Coronavirus reported by anyone attending or affiliated with Goshen Church. However, global experience is showing that social distancing is one of the best protections against the virus, which has the potential to spread rapidly in communities.

// CHURCH ONLINE

The good news is: We will be hosting a LIVE SUNDAY SERVICES via Church Online and we want everyone to join us online! Not only can you experience the music and message from the comfort of home, our live services include a chat feature so you can connect with others, share prayer requests, and experience community online.

Simply use your computer or phone to join our service, which will be live-streamed in 2 places:

Praise God for technology! We are thankful that our church can worship together virtually, even if we can’t be together in person. Also - please
  • Use your pictorial church directory to check in with others in our community. (If you don't have one, contact us for a digital copy - make sure ppl are ok)
  • Join our facebook group where we'll be chatting.
Friends, I want you to know that the decision to cancel weekend services is not one made out of fear, but a spirit of wisdom. In uncertain times, we continue to look to Jesus and draw confidence from our loving Abba Father who is sovereign over all things. Never forget: God’s got this!
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
I realize this is a difficult time and your daily lives may be in flux-- as workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities shift. In the midst of this uncertainty, remember to draw confidence from Christ.

I love you all and can’t wait to worship together again in person. Until then, I’ll see you online Sunday!!

With confidence in Christ,

Pastor Sam Sutter
Lead Pastor, Goshen Church
