Faith Promise Partners August 2022 Update

 

Christy & Zach Yoder (Wycliffe – Nigeria, W. Africa)

• Thank God (these are in response to prayer points from last month)
  • The second Advisory Committee meeting on August 11 went really well!
  • For a lot of peace and unity as we take our first steps in financial adjustments we are trying to make for Nigerian colleagues.
  • For the refreshing time in Ethiopia where Zach felt encouraged, inspired, and supported by his colleagues from around the world. He also turned 39 while there! Praise for another year!
  • The Orange Hat summer school in our neighborhood is up and running in Hwolshe. 
  • The musical was such a wonderful time! We are so thankful for all the kids that worked hard to put it on, and the many people who came to watch!
  • For Christy's birthday, the day after our prayer meeting. (This year she enters a new decade!)
• Please pray:
  • That the things Zach carried in his heart back from Ethiopia will be processed and fulfill their purposes in our organization and in his heart.
  • For wisdom in the decision regarding what language communities to engage with and how
  • For peace and contentment when we can't do all that we want to do, and direction to know what we are supposed to be pouring ourselves into.
  • For Daso as she starts 10th grade in homeschool online this year.  A new adventure for us all.
  • For Mariama (grade 2), Lydia (Kindergarten), Olivia and Acacia (preschool), and Christy as they gear up for another year
  • For the Orange Hat and Blessing, Joel, and Celine (along with a few volunteers) as they try to meet these children where they are educationally and help them move forward.
  • For Christy's family and family friends as they remember one year on the 16th without Josh Watkin, Christy's big brother.
