Our History

Goshen Christian Reformed Church started in 1934 by a small group of immigrants who needed to find a way of raising their kids together to know God. A lot of our founders had to move north because because of the great depression. It was a time where jobs were scarce, culture was falling apart, and desperate times were met with bringing gratitude to God. Things didn’t get better right away (our first church building was opened on August, 27th 1939. The next week Hitler invaded Poland).

Obviously a lot has happened, but the reasons for starting Goshen Church have become our strengths. We work really hard at building community. When things are tough, this church becomes family. We love raising godly kids with character together. Our history isn’t perfect. We’ve learned a lot. But God has been faithful to us, and we find joy in bringing him praise and gratitude.
