[T]hose who are truly sorrowful for their sins, and yet trust that these are forgiven them for the sake of Christ; and that their remaining infirmities are covered by his passion and death; and who also earnestly desire to have their faith more and more strengthened, and their lives more holy; but hypocrites, and such as turn not to God with sincere hearts, eat and drink judgment to themselves. (Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 81 also 1 Corinthians 11). We believe that this should describe every healthy Christian. If you have questions about this, or want to change to meet this description, please see an Elder. We’d love to help you grow closer to Jesus together.

Coffee Break Bible Study for women will be meeting in the church lobby on Wednesdays this year from 10am to 11:30am. Any interested women are welcome to join. Council is happy to announce that Kelsie Doller has been approved as the new leader of the Care Team! The Care Team’s mission is to advocate for and offer care to people in need. They do this by reaching out to the sick and shut-ins, assisting with meals, offering encouragement, etc. If you have a gift of showing compassion and care and may be interested in joining the team, please stay for a meeting after the worship service TODAY, October 13th. Pancake Breakfast - The Cadets will be working with our Youth Group raising money by serving you a delicious pancake, french toast or egg breakfast on October 19th in the Goshen Christian Preschool Gymnasium. Please come out and support these two youth ministries. Breakfast is served family style from 7am-10am and the cost is by donation - so bring a friend for good food and better fellowship.
On Sunday, November 10th we will begin a new session of Griefshare: Surviving the Holidays. The program will begin at 11:30am-1:30pm in the church basement. Our Surviving the Holidays seminar is especially for people who are grieving a loved one’s death. You’ll learn: How to deal with the many emotions you’ll face during the holidays; What to do about traditions and other coming changes Helpful tips for surviving social events. This year there will also be a program for kids available from the ages of 4-12.
